Please read this message in its entirety. Thank you.

We developed this message board for Valley Fever sufferers so they can have a place to go to support each other. We hope everyone will continue to share their stories and continue to be there for each other. We have received many emails thanking us for setting up the VF Message Board and we were glad to do it. The Valley Fever community is very special. We believe everyone who writes on the board means well. Unfortunately, some of the information and advice posted to this board has been inaccurate and, in rare instances, potentially harmful.

After three years of continuous research into Valley Fever, we can unequivocally state that www.valleyfeversurvivor.com has the most accurate, up-to-date, and clear information on this subject. If you have questions about coccidioidomycosis, we strongly recommend that you read our web pages below:

Facts and Commentary http://www.valleyfeversurvivor.com/facts.html
Frequently Asked Questions http://www.valleyfeversurvivor.com/faq.html
Misconceptions http://www.valleyfeversurvivor.com/misconceptions.html
Symptoms http://www.valleyfeversurvivor.com/symptoms.html

It is also worthwhile to know as much as you can about Valley Fever, especially if you are infected. Once you have found the answer to your question, it may be helpful to read the rest of the site as well.

If you are a veteran seeking compensation for a service connected Valley Fever infection click on our Veteran Info page:

If you'd like to start taking action of your own against Valley Fever, our Action Letters page provides some excellent tips and examples.

Our book is nearing completion. If you have not filled out the following forms and would like to be part of the statistical analysis for the book, we would appreciate your assistance. You can help Valley Fever Survivor by sharing information about your case - or if you are not infected, by sharing your opinion. With the most complete survey of Valley Fever-related information, we can make the most effective changes when our book is published and we are able to lobby for political action. Please consider which of the following forms applies to you and answer as many as possible.

The VF Questionnaire is only for people who have been diagnosed with Valley Fever, or for family to answer on behalf of a person who was diagnosed.

[UPDATED 2005:]If you were in Arizona during November 2005, did you or anyone else you know who was there at that time hear of 2005's Valley Fever Awareness Week? If you can count up the "yes"es for those who heard of the 2005 awareness week and the "no"s for those who hadn't heard of it, that would be greatly appreciated. If the answer is yes, we need to know how people heard about the awareness week and what they heard about it. The poll also includes questions about previous years' Awareness Weeks. This poll can be done in email or our Quick Poll at:
http://www.valleyfeversurvivor.com/AZrespoll.html

If you were in California during August 2005, did you or anyone else you know who was there at that time hear of 2005's Valley Fever Awareness Month? Like the previous form, this poll can be done in email or at this link:
http://www.valleyfeversurvivor.com/ca2005poll.html

The VF Animal Survey is only for those who have or had a pet that was diagnosed with coccidioidomycosis.
